Judging by this quality performance at a pretty full Apollo, Lee Memphis King is certainly among the premier league of tributes!
Derek Smith (The Stage, March 2008)

Ron Anthony (Key Theatre, Peterborough, 2009)
Have been an Elvis fan for many years, know his music
and songs very well.
Thought that vocally you were so close it was uncanny, I requested the
song Memories which you sang, closed my eyes and just listened, it was
superb. Also liked that you used your own voice in between songs, too
many tribute artistes try to talk like Elvis and it spoils the show for
me. So on behalf of myself, my wife, my sister and brother-inlaw I would
like to thank you, your excellent musicians and lovely backing singers
for an evening of wonderful entertainment. Look forward to seeing your
show again some time in the future.
Sue Peters (The Robin2, Bilston, 2009)
A fantastic evening was had by all. I love the way you portray Elvis, it was natural, realistic but within your own style. A truly unforgettable night that I would recommend all Elvis fans to go and see. Looking forward to the next Midlands show in march at Dudley town hall.
Angela Flynn
Im not a great lover of Elvis impersonators a lot of them disrespect the
King's name.
Lee memphis king is one in a million I was shocked in fact I was amazed
the hours this man must have spent watching every little movement and
facial expression. He's got it too perfection , even the nose crinkling
that Elvis did when he was passionate about a song he was singing .
The show was fantastic Lee was fantastic and deserve 100% praise. I would
definately see this show again. Thank you Lee you do Elvis memory proud
keep up the good work .tcb
Jill Cowie (The Royal Albert Halls, Bolton, February 2009)
I left the theatre speechless, you were outstanding. I truly loved your
performance, I'll never forget it.
Sandie Dixon (Tivoli Theatre, Wimborne, February 2009)
This is the 8th time we have seen the show and this time I took my brother-in-law
and his wife. I don't think they knew what to expect as they had seen
some bad ETAs but they were blown away. The show was fantastic now that
whole family wants to see it. Would be great if you were at Fairfield
Hall sometime then we could all get together. Thank you Lee, the band
and backing singers for another wonderful evening.
Karen Shaw (Beck theatre, January 2009)
Show seen:
FANTASTIC!!! in every way, enjoyed every minute, the accuracy of his vocals
and moves sent shivers down my spine, ELVIS never left the building, he
lives on through Lee memphis King!! keep up the good work and never stop
touring, you rock!!
Margaret Kincaid ( Glasgow Pavilion April 2009 )
I first saw you on the World's Greatest Elvis show on bbc, and Iinstantly
became a fan of yours. Icouldn't believe how much you sounded like Elvis,
and the transformation with the costumes, hair, etc was unreal. Iwent
to see you at the Glasgow Pavilion last night (24 april), and was left
amazed at how great your performance was. my favourite song is An American
Trilogy, and Ialways cry when Ihear it, it reminds me of my late father,
and the way you sing it - it is lovely and dramatic - just as Elvis did.
Elvis is not dead so long as you are performing - you are terrific - please
keep going. I have booked again already to see you when you come back
to glasgow again in august. best wishes to you and the band.
Richard Bourke ( Wimbledon 23/04/2009 )
Truly a 'Wonderful' experience with singing of such consistant high quality
every song was a real pleasure,a vocal range probably equal to Elvis himself
and each sung from the heart of this exceptional performer. 'Softly As
I Leave You' perfection which brought tears to my mothers eyes Brilliant!
THANK YOU DARTFORD & the O2 will be next for me with family and friends...
John Kerr (Belfast Waterfront 9/5/09)
Attended show with John Burns who, like me, is a lifelong fan. We also
regularly perform Elvis songs and JB has appeared on stages around the
world. We had the 2 seats in the centre of the front row. This guy was
going to be closely scrutinised!
I have to say that it was quite incredible -- on 2 counts.
Firstly his voice was absolutely perfect. It was magnificent, particularly
on the slow numbers. His version of "Are You Lonesome Tonight"
was spectacular.
Secondly his mastery of the Elvis "look", the mannerisms, the
whole routine, was uncanny. Let me give just one example. The pose, side
on to the audience, then the little glance at the band, the double take
and the grin with the lip curl. It was unreal.
This guy is as close to the real thing as it gets.
As a result, when he returns to the Ulster Hall in October we are hiring
a bus and bringing a bus-load to see him.
Pete Frend (Belfast Waterfront Hall 9-5-09)
Absolutely brilliant show, with my eyes closed was I listening to the
real Elvis? I wasn't a huge fan of Elvis but my wife (who is a huge fan)
asked me to go to the show with her. Now that is all changed with Lee
"Memphis" King's performance. He is the real deal & I would
definitely see him again. Actually, the whole show was well directed &
every performer on the stage was brilliant. I loved the guitar playing,
The Brass Monkey's, the girls were brilliant (fantastic voices)....everyone
in the band were enjoying their performance, which is conveyed to the
audience....A joy to watch & hear. Many thanks to you all. Pete.
Glenis Anglesea ( Derby Assembly Rooms (June,2009
)
We have seen your show several times and each time we have been amazed
at your outstanding performance. We brought along some family members who
had never seen your show. They thought you were fantastic and thoroughly
enjoyed the evening. Please thank your band and fabulous singers. We are
looking forward to seeing you at Buxton.
Gwen Barton ( Bristol Hippodrome 02/08/09 )
Simply amazing - a voice so like Elvis - a performance so passionate -
incredible band and backing vocalists - "Softly" brought tears
to my eyes - no wonder Lee got a standing ovation .
Melanie & Andy Yates ( Rhyl Pavilion, Aug 2009
)
Your passion and love of Elvis is clear to see and hear. You sound great,
look great and are still yourself - nothing is forced. We've just seen
you for the second time and will be back for more. It was great to see
the same talented musicians and singers with you - they clearly enjoy
it as much as you do. We've seen several tributes and yours is by far
the best! Thank you!
Pauline & Tim Brown ( Princess Theatre - Torquay
31/07/2009 )
Having seen Lee on TV several times, it was with great anticipation that
we managed to catch him 'live'. Better still Lee exceeded all of our expectations,
it felt like being in the presence of the King himself. From the quality
of the vocals to the minutest mannerisms that Lee displayed a truly great
performance.
Pam Wilson ( Gaiety Theatre Isle of Man )
Thank you Lee (and the band) for a wonderful evening. Loved the show last year and even better last night. Memories along with No More is one of my favourite lesser known songs and you really did Elvis justice in your performance. I am always telling people to go and see you even if not an Elvis fan. 'The Wonder of You'performing is amazing, the work you have put in comes across. Thank you for keeping his memory and music alive. Also thanks for re scheduling the performance after Fly MayBe let you down
Lucy & Paul ( Richmond 04.08.09 )
Absolutely Fantastic! A World Class show! LMK you and
your band should be in the West End. So authentic I could see only Elvis
when you sung "If I can Dream", "Always On My Mind",
"My Way" and "American Trilogy" - it moved me to tears,
I had goose bumps. This is a tribute in your own style and not Karaoke
and not pure imitation. Great fun too. You can still pull off early Elvis.
Thanks for a great night.
Angela Cooper ( rhyl pavilion )
Lee memphis king you are the closest to the king anyone could ever be.
Your voice moves stance look everything about you is just fantastic. We
have seen you many times over the last three or four years and travel
around the country to see you, my mum and sisters and myself. I remember
seeing your show for the first time three years ago and couldnt believe
how much you sounded like Elvis, we have been hooked ever since.xx The
band are fabulous too, please never stop xx
Gary Taylor ( the anvil basingstoke )

Jayne ( manchester opera house 15/8/09 )
words cannot express how good this show is..go see it for yourself x
Judie ( opera house, manchester )
Lee Memphis King does not look like Elvis, he does not sound like Elvis,
he just truly IS Elvis. By the end of the show, the crowd is whipped into
such a frenzy that they really believe Elvis is in the building. Thanks,
Lee, for another amazing night and here's to many many more xxxxxxxxxx
Andy Luck ( Indigo o2 16/8/09 )
I have been a elvis fan for many years, i caught your show at hammersmith last year and enjoyed it so much i knew i would come again, what better time than a anniversary show, i was not let down you in my opinion are the closest thing to elvis i have ever seen, vocals and the movements are spot on, the show at the indigo last night was fanstastic, anyone looking to see a elvis tribute should forget seeing anyone else and see lee memphis king, he is THE BEST
Kath Jordan ( Anniversary show O2 August 16th 2009
)
What a fantastic night out.lee you are just outstanding. You just get
better and better. When you sang Memories i could'nt help but have a tear
in my eye.I'm sure that when i shut my eyes when you sing you are just
so close to Elvis its unreal.
The band were great and Jill and Fiona were just fantasic.I really love
to here Jill sing the song Softly with you,and fiona's Gospal is just
wonderfull.
Thanks again for yet another night to remember. hope to see you again
at Folkstone later in the year.
Val Milne ( Arbroath. Sunday 30/08/09 )
Awesome and breath-taking. Lee your perseverance, dedication and meticulous
attention to detail has rewarded you. So convincingly did you "become"
Elvis that ever since I saw you, I have been like a love-struck teenager
which is exactly what I was all these years ago when Elvis ruled my world.
The quirky sense of humour, the precise mannerisms and the powerful passion
you allow us to witness and share in are the special traits of Elvis.
Long may you continue to bring pleasure to, and receive admiration from
all the true Elvis fans out here. It was a privilege to watch you and
of course, listen to you sing. Thank you for turning, coming back across
the stage and allowing me to meet you at the end of the show(I had rushed
down from some rows back)and, just as Elvis would have done, you held
my fingertips for a moment. Thank you Lee "Memphis" King - Perfection
at it's Best.
Traceyanne Healer ( Sunderland Empire 29th August
2009 )
As a life long Elvis fan who helps run The Original All Elvis 24 Hour
Room on Paltalk I get to listen to Elvis daily so tend not to think much
of Elvis Tribute Artists in general... I only attended this show just
to accompany my mother for her birthday and was absolutely gobsmacked
at the variety of songs and the precision of Lee "Memphis" King's
vocals.... I could have easily sat and listened to him go over all 758
full length G rated songs.... I highly recommend this show for Elvis fans
old and new alike no matter what your opinion on E.T.A's in general give
this guy a chance.... you won't regret it I know i don't!
Marg Owen ( The Place,Telford 19.09.09 )
Once again a fantastic show, have now attended three performances and
each one just gets better, although the first time was unbeatable!!! You
are fantastic, i particularly admire how you do not impersonate Elvis
when addressing the audience, this promotes you as a person - a funny,
true elvis fan. My birthday is the end of September and purchasing a ticket
for your performance is my birthday present to myself - thank you for
once again a fantastic birthday present!!!!! My son has now said he will
have to see you for himself as i rave about the show for a couple of days!
Thank you and please continue to keep Elvis's memory alive in the brilliant
way you do
Claire Foreman ( Oakengates 19/09/09 )
My 4th time of seeing you and it was just as fantastic as the first, if
not better! I was in the front row again, and will make sure I'm there
again when you come back to Telford or Shrewsbury! I was born '77 and
so never had the chance to see the King in the flesh, but you are certainly
the next best thing!! p.s. it's great to see John Pettifer back on stage
as I was (still am) a fan of the Cheap Seats!
Sharon ( Beck Theatre Hayes )
I was very sceptical about seeing an Elvis impersonater as there really
was only 1 Elvis but having seen you on the BBC I decided to see this
show you are a credit to the memory of Elvis infact if I closed my eyes
you sounded so like him you would think it was him, your costumes were
fabulous and the show was so funny and entertaining just like Elvis himself
would have been I cant wait to see the next show you do at the Beck Theatre,
many people were not fortunate enough to see him before he died and you
have given us an opportunity to experience what it may have been like,
thank you so much Lee for a wonderful account of Elvis.
Owen Williams ( Eastbourne )
This year I went with my 14 year old son to see Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan
and your show. Bob Dylan was awful, Neil Diamond was brilliant but you
topped both shows. Given the choice we would come back to see you - great
moves brilliant singing. We enjoyed it and will definitely come again.
A must for any Elvis fan.
STEVE ( leicester demontfort hall 01/10/09.)
awesome!
first class musicians and backing singers, Lee is phenemonal, sent shivers
down my spine. if you're in any doubt whether to go and see this show,
don't be, worth every penny and you come away feeling elated. can't wait
for next time it's in leicester or nearby.thanks for a superb night out.
Mr & Mrs Coughlan ( Marina Theatre Lowestoft.
)
Well what a lovely surprise how marvellous to see such
a polished performance at our little theatre. Please come back again.
